Children's Worker Vacancy

Interviews for our children's worker role take place on March 29th.

We have had a very positive reponse to our adverts for a children's worker and will be shortlisting next week. The position is for 30 hours a week to work mainly in Cullompton's two primary schools and other agencies working with local families. We're looking for somebody with lots of energy, enthusiasm and a big vision.

Edward Hobbs, vicar of St Andrew's, said: "I am really excited about this new appointment, and all the opportunities it's going to bring for us to serve our community. I believe the appointment of a new children's worker, spending 75 per cent of their time in the schools and in the town rather than in church, sends a really important message that St Andrew's is there for everyone. This new post will help us to achieve our goal as a church, which is "to reveal the heart of Jesus in the heart of our community."

Children's Worker Details

We currently have 300 adults and more than 80 children regularly worshipping with us. We have just completed a £1.5m conference and community centre (we knocked down our old church hall) and want to continue to invest in the town. Recently we celebrated moving our children's work into this building with a big party - we love parties and have lots of them in our children's work. This role covers the age range of 0-10 but mainly concentrates on primary school age children.
