The week starting the 13th December witnessed a large number of Christmas events related to the Children’s ministry at St Andrew’s

Monday started with a Christingle service at the Anglican church in Bradninch. The school and the preschool filled the building where the service was led by local Christians who live in the community, the new Bradninch Baptist minister and Wayne from St Andrew’s. The children sung fun Christmas songs and heard about what the Christingle represented.
On Tuesday Willowbank School visited St Andrew’s for their annual Christmas carol service. The Children sung Christmas carols and read readings and prayers.

Wednesday was the last Parent and toddler group this term. The children celebrated with a party and a visit from a Donkey. The boys and girls learnt about the Christmas story. They were also invited to the Donkey service happening on the 24th December.

Finally on Thursday 16th December the week concluded with a wonderful evening Christmas service led my St Andrews Primary school. The children gave a wonderful rendition of ‘Hosanna rocks’ a Christmas play talking about the Birth of Jesus. The Service then concluded with a Christingle where the children stood around the church in darkness with lit candles singing Christmas carols. St Andrew’s was able to say a big thank you to Bob Whitel the retiring head of 17 years who has been incredibly supportive towards the church community. He will be missed. If you would like to hear the Christmas service it is archived on the website in the Sermon section.

Thank you to all those who worked hard to make this week happen.
