Cullompton Community Centre Directors Needed

The centre is now open and functioning, with a growing list of bookings stretching into 2012 and 2013.

We now need to draw together a board of people who will be able to give guidance and direction to the team of full time staff and volunteers, building on the good work that has gone on already, and firmly establishing the centre's future.

DIRECTOR

Cullompton Community Centre (Operations) Limited – CCC (O) Ltd.

Unremunerated

The Organisation – CCC (O) Ltd is a new company set up to operate and maintain the fantastic new community centre situated at the heart of Cullompton.

·         The Role – 5 permanent Directors are now sought to enable the organisation to achieve its objectives on behalf of its members.  The Directors will be responsible for strategic business planning, employment (of staff and volunteers), development of best practice policy and development of strategic partnerships to ensure the success of the new centre. They will have overall responsibility for:

 ·        - Governance - managing the business efficiently and ensuring the centre operates to the highest standards

·         - External Relations – championing the centre and developing strategic partnerships throughout the region

·         - Income - monitoring and developing s income streams to supplement core hire income

·         - Maintenance – ensuring sufficient income is set aside to maintain the facility and developing cost effective relationships with local suppliers and trades to ensure the facility is maintained to a very high standard.

·         - Performance – setting KPI’s for the centre manager and administrator

·         - Engagement- developing community participation and volunteering in the centre

 

The Person

·        --  An understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing a new community centre

·         - The ability to work in a small team and think strategically

·         - Experience of working with confidential information

·         - Experience of engaging support and commitment to make things happen

·         - The ability to lead and positively influence the performance of others

·         - Proven commercial acumen

·         - Problem solving skills
