This past weekend the youth team had a fantastic time away with over 20 young people from our church. We went to St. George’s House Christian Activity Centre in Georgeham, North Devon which is very near to the coast. It was a great time of activities and fun as well as finding out more about what it means to do life with God. The title of the weekend was ‘Journey’ and we were thinking about how God is with us in all the different parts of our journey through life.
4 young people became Christians over the weekend which was an amazing highlight!
Several of the young people who came couldn’t afford to pay the full cost for the weekend and some we needed to subsidise heavily. The standard cost only just about covers the costs and so there is quite a shortfall. Please could you consider whether you could give towards a youth bursary fund which we can use to help support young people to attend various events and activities that they would otherwise miss out on.
Any amount would be a huge help, no matter how small. If you are able to give a bit more here’s an idea of what your money could do:
£50 would pay for a young person to attend Spree camp in July
£70 would pay for a young person’s place at the weekend away
