Values that we want to grow in all our times of sung worship:

Through Jesus’ death and resurrection the Father welcomes us into His presence. He has paid a great price so we can come just as we are, trusting in His love. We want as many people as possible to feel God’s welcome amongst us. (Luke 15, Is 55)

We want to celebrate the truth of who God is and of all that He has done for us. (Psalm 103, Eph 1)

We are called to be a family together, growing in love and unity as an expression of God’s love. Each of us brings something special and unique to our times together. (1 Cor 12, Eph 4:1–16)

Creativity and Excellence

As God’s people we worship an amazingly generous and creative God. At St Andrew’s we seek to grow in learning to reflect His creativity and beauty in the variety and excellence of our use of music and the arts to worship Him.

As we draw near to God He draws near to us (James 4:8). Jesus encourages us to come and receive from Him (John 7:37). As we wait upon the Lord we are renewed in His presence (Is 40:31). This is why we aim to have unhurried times together in worship.

Worship is about honouring God with our whole lives, not just our lips (Is 29:13/Rom12). We want our encounters with Him to be times when we allow Him to transform us with His presence and His truth. We want all that we are to speak of Him.
